AirLearnSM Focuses on Airlines and Their Partners

OrangeLine-2.jpg

AirLearnSM is a focused consultancy.  It helps people to understand the complex and ever-changing airline industry, and to translate those insights and knowledge into effective business results.  AirLearn serves two kinds of clients: 1) people in and near airlines – companies and organizations that supply or work at carriers; and 2) students at business and aviation schools worldwide.

Helping people succeed in the airline industry leverages AirLearn’s more than four decades of experience in and close to the business, across nearly all functions, from marketing to I.T., and from planning to operations.  Recent clients include a large international airline, a global airline alliance, a travel software firm, and two major aerospace manufacturers.

At premier universities and management schools around the world – places like London Business School, INSEAD, Wharton, Kellogg, and the Indian Institute of Management-Ahmedabad – AirLearn has delivered lectures and seminars for more than two decades, ranging from large plenary sessions to informal seminars to executive education.  The talks are compelling in large part because the information passes through the lens of real-world experience.

Rob Britton, AirLearn’s leader, has been in and near the airline industry for 41 years.  In 2009, he completed a 22-year career with American Airlines.  Before that, he worked for Republic and Northwest Airlines, and for travel agencies and tour operators.

Rob Britton has been an invaluable participant in my corporate strategy course at the London School of Economics. He has provided my students with a very clear understanding of the economics of the U.S. airline industry and its future prospects, and he has done so in a most witty and engaging style - the students loved his lectures.

Rob Britton is a true airline expert, having developed a deep understanding of the complexities of the business during his extensive airline career. His remarkable critical thinking and analytical skills have enabled him to develop a keen insight into airline economics and how the disparate elements of the business come together to form the big picture. Rob is an outstanding writer and witty public speaker, who possesses the unique ability of making the complexities of the business readily understandable to his audiences.  I’ve known Rob and his work for many years and I recommend him highly.

What would an MBA program be without presentations from seasoned executives?  As a second year student in the Executive MBA program, I’ve had the pleasure of listening to many such presentations.  The most outstanding one was the one Rob Britton gave . . .  He was engaging, entertaining, to the point.  A better match with our ongoing strategy class could not have been accomplished.  I learned so much from the way he tackled key success factors in a difficulty industry from several different angles.  Truly an exceptional teacher and presenter!
